Tony Ueber, Vice President Marketing Strategy
Tony Ueber, Vice President of Marketing Strategy, is spearheading the most significant
campaign in the company's history by reintroducing the Office Depot brand to business
customers with a number of bold initiatives and new internal and external positioning under the
umbrella of Taking Care of Business.
Under Ueber's creative and strategic direction, Office Depot launched in January an aggressive
marketing strategy to underscore its Taking Care of Business positioning, including a new
tagline, a new advertising campaign and a new sports sponsorship platform featuring NASCAR.
Ueber, who joined Office Depot in May 2003, spent the majority of his first 12 months working
closely with the Executive team on corporate strategic planning efforts. In August 2004, Ueber’s

broadcast creative development, media planning, sponsorships and strategic alliances,
marketing research, direct marketing and loyalty programs, and marketing analytics. Ueber now
leads a department of more than fifty marketing professionals and is responsible for directing a
multi-million dollar advertising budget.
Ueber's expertise in marketing was formed during his five years in brand management at
Procter & Gamble where he was involved in advertising strategy and creative development,
public relations, media planning, brand repositioning, consumer research, pricing and
warehouse/direct-store delivery logistics. Ueber also spent three years as a Management
Consultant at McKinsey & Company.
