Brad Bacon, Executive Vice President, Store Operations
Brad Bacon is Executive Vice President, Store Operations for Office Depot. In this role, Brad is responsible for supporting Office Depot's rapid store growth and remodels; strengthening the execution of the merchandising, marketing and supply chain programs; and enhancing the Company's customer service.
Under Brad's leadership, Office Depot plans to significantly expand its North American Retail Division by opening 100 stores in 2007 and between 125 and 150 in 2008. Additionally, Office Depot is aggressively remodeling its entire existing retail store chain to the Company's new retail format, dubbed Millennium 2 (M2).
Brad has more than 30 years of retail operation experience with an exemplary record providing leadership, strategic direction, and administrative oversight to world-class retail/wholesale companies. Prior to joining Office Depot in March 2007, Brad served as Executive Vice President, Retail Operations, Commercial, and ALLDATA, for AutoZone, and before that spent eight years in senior management positions at Tops Markets/Ahold USA, including Executive Vice President, Operations.
Brad earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Michigan, and as part of his commitment to the community served on several Boards of Directors, including the United Way; the Food Industry Alliance of NY; and the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation of Western NY.
