Tony Stewart and Office Depot Ready to Take Care of Business Again in 2010!
The 2010 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series season marks the second year of an exciting partnership between Office Depot and two-time Sprint Cup Series champion Tony Stewart.
Stewart and the No. 14 Office Depot/Old Spice team definitely took care of business in 2009. With five wins - including the Sprint All-Star Race - plus four runner-up, 15 top-five and 23 top-10 finishes, Stewart exceeded the expectations of many during his first season as a driver and team owner with Stewart-Haas Racing (SHR). Both Stewart and his SHR teammate Ryan Newman qualified for the season-ending "Chase for the Sprint Cup" - a remarkable feat for a new organization - and finished sixth and ninth in the final point standings, respectively.
Stewart will be looking to build on that success in 2010 - with the help of Office Depot!
Since its entry into NASCAR in 2005, Office Depot has earned a reputation for achieving success both on and off the track as one of the top sponsors in the sport. A leading global provider of office products and services, Office Depot continues its exclusive sponsorship of NASCAR as the sport's Official Office Products Partner in 2010.
During its first year in the sport, Office Depot was recognized for its innovative and activation-oriented approach to sponsorship and earned the 2005 NASCAR "Marketer of the Year Award." The annual honor highlighted the company's multi-channel program that leverages NASCAR to help differentiate the Office Depot brand and connect with millions of potential customers and small business owners who are fans of the sport.
Office Depot's partnership with NASCAR continues to serve as the foundation for the company's fully integrated marketing initiatives and programs. National and local-market promotions include the Office Depot Foundation's award-winning National Backpack program, which provides backpacks filled with basic school supplies to underprivileged children; show car and race simulator events at Office Depot retail stores across the country; and at-track activities such as customer hospitality programs and special events with Stewart. Additionally, the annual "Official Small Business of NASCAR, Courtesy of Office Depot" promotion provides small business owners, like Stewart, with the unique opportunity to gain valuable exposure for their company in front of millions of people by having their business logo featured on the No. 14 Office Depot/Old Spice Chevrolet during a nationally televised race.
